Our training goes beyond simple procedures. It is grounded in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and trauma-informed practice. Training Programmes We Offer

We offer two key training streams, ensuring a holistic approach to behaviour support within your organisation.

 

Programme 1: Build Internal Capability (For Organisations)

This programme is for organisations that want to develop in-house expertise. We will certify your selected employees, enabling them to deliver this skillset internally. This training is delivered by a qualified and certified trainer who understand your specific environment and organisational culture.

• Format: Face-to-Face Classroom Training at our Balcatta or Bunbury facility or your premises
• Ideal for: Organisations hungry to deliver top quality service
• Core Modules Include:
  • Introduction to Positive Approaches to Behaviour & Safer De-escalation
  • Positive Approaches & Safer De-escalation for Learning Disability and Autism
  • Personal Safety and Disengagement Skills
  • Redirection and Guiding Techniques
  • Safer Holding (where appropriate and as part of a comprehensive plan)

This programme ensures your internal team of DSW are proficient in delivering quality supports, focusing on both practical and the safe application of physical skills when necessary.

 

Programme 2: Face-to-Face Training for Disability Support Workers (DSWs)

We are now offering face-to-face training exclusively for Disability Support Workers (DSWs). Delivered by our qualified in-house trainers at our Balcatta and Bunbury facility, this programme provides hands-on, practical instruction in a safe and supportive environment.

• Format: Face-to-Face Classroom Training
• Location: PHASE Training Facility, 2/226 Balcatta Road, BALCATTA or 5/50 Portobello Road, DALYELLUP
• Ideal for: Individual DSWs seeking professional development
• Core Modules Include:
  • Positive Approaches to Behaviour & Safer De-escalation
  • Personal Safety and Disengagement Skills
  • Redirection and Guiding Techniques
  • Understanding Trauma and Trauma-Informed Approaches
  • Safer Lone Working

Participants will leave with practical skills they can apply immediately in their daily work, along with a certificate of completion.
